This year’s theme for our Sophomore Night is Freakshow! I was challenged to find an outfit that’s suitable for the theme and thank God I did! The venue was packed and the effort of the people who organized the event can be seen through the success of the whole event. It was a night well spent with the people that I love. Kudos to my batch, Pink 2014!
My outfit’s inspired by the circus. I used an asymmetrical skirt to give off the circus-ish/freakshow-ish (I didn’t wanna use freak-ish haha!) vibe of the whole look. For the color, I only used soft tones such as beige, light pink and purple. I chose turquoise and gold as the accent colors of my outfit which can be seen in the belt, bag and shoes.

Last Friday Night, I went out with mah gurls! We had an awesome night together! It was all about having fun and just fun. March 2012 started out great for me thanks to these awesome people.

2012 is really a good year for me, well at least for now. The next day, March 03, I went out again with my other friends and had another awesome time. I’ll try to find ways on how to blog about it cause I lost my camera and that means no pictures. Sorry guys! No new blog posts until now but just wait and no, this doesn’t mean the end of A Bit of Everything! Haha, I just can’t take photos cause like I said someone stole my camera so please do understand. ☺

♥Last year, February 13 was the day I made A Bit of Everything and now, it’s turning a year older. From El Sueño to A Bit of Everything, from blogspot to tumblr, from idadedidodu to idaophia and all the changes that happened, it’s great to see how my blog evolved. Being a blogger changed who I am in a good way. It’s great to share my experiences and my thoughts with all of you.
I’ve loved fashion ever since I was born but I’ve never thought about blogging it. It all started when I read the back part of the Candy magazine and I saw Patricia Prieto. From that day on, I started checking out her other photos and got really interested in blogging. Yes, Patricia Prieto is the one who influenced me in blogging. I enjoyed reading her posts and thought to myself, why don’t I start a blog? So there it goes, the beginning of El Sueño.
El Sueño means The Dream and I, for one, loves dreaming. Although it’s wasn’t really my dream to start up a blog before but now, it’s my dream to make my blog known by a lot of people. As time passed by, I decided to change my blog’s name as well as my blog’s url. I also changed the place where I blog.
From El Sueño to A Bit of Everything. I chose A Bit of Everything because I remember that when my bestfriend, Bianca who also owns a blog, would ask me about how I describe myself or my style, I would always say “I’m a bit of everything” so there it goes as my new blog title since my blog represents me, right? As I have said before regarding my style, it changes every time, sometimes I can be a rocker or maybe go bohemian. It changes, I’d like to try out everything and not just stick into one category.
From blogspot to tumblr. I started out blogging in blogspot, of course, I’m trying to follow the footsteps of my favorite blogger, Patricia Prieto before. It was very easy to use but of course there are also some disadvantages in blogging there although it’s really great for beginners like me. Good thing, there’s tumblr! Though the html codes are giving me a headache, it works well. You can actually make it exactly the way you want it because of the codes! Yes, tumblr’s been very very good to me and I’m very contented with it.
From idadedidodu to idasophia. Remember my old url and semi-username, idadedidodu? It’s not gone but I’d prefer idasophia. It’s so much easier for me and also for you guys when you type my url. Sometimes I mix up the letters when typing idadedidodu, haha! I bet you guys tried mixing it up too already! So I guess idasophia is better than idadedidodu.
I also joined other fashion sites such as Chictopia and Polyvore. It’s great to share your own style in every way that you can like joining other sites. As much as possible, I would like to show my style not just in my tumblr blog but also in other sites such as those and make it available for everyone to see and who knows, they may also be redirected to my blog!
There’s been a lot of changes already and improvement in my blog. The transition of my outfit posts, from amateur to still amateur, haha! Kidding, well personally I think it improved even just a bit. From one view a day to more readers and supporters. A Bit of Everything really grew and I’m very proud of it.
Blogging changed my life, it really did and I’m happy about it. It opened my eyes more into the fashion world, it gave me more interest in photography, it gave me the opportunity to share with you guys my insights about life, music and fashion. It also gave me the chance to meet other famous bloggers namely Patricia Prieto, Lissa Kahayon, Camille Co and David Guison. It taught me a lot of things such as responsibility, patience and all those other virtues out there. Blogging is a good habit and by now, I can really say that I don’t only have the passion for music and fashion but also the passion for blogging.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who supported my blog for its first year and I hope that you would still continue checking it out for the rest of its existence. I appreciate all the comments you give me! The compliments and just the effort of reading my posts! It really means a lot. Kudos to all my readers! I love you guys!
